Some works from sketchbooks.

I have made plenty of image maker but i dont want to make it interesting so i have made it into 3D.

This is a floor of my final model which i made a stencil and covered with 2 perspex.

Skeletal structures which is going to support the floor to float in the air. It was contracted when it dried.

Stingray structure which is set in the resin will be at the middle of the floor. But, the problem occurred. The resin cracked since too much hardener was put during making the resin. So, i decided to make another plaster of stingray without resin to replace the cracked one.

The blue resin is placed at the middle.

This is plastic tubes with the blue liquid inside it which is from the idea of blood vessel. I was thinking to use it in my final model but unfortunately it did not turn out the way i wanted it to.
This is my final model which is done.

Arghhhh!!!! Cutting too much stencils!!!!! :)

Continue my stingray design idea to on photographic papers making a wall design.
First, i used the smaller sticks to make the gaps between the "real wall" and designed wall, but after that i found out it was unstable if with just using glue stick to glue them (i did not want to use glue gun because it will make it worse). So, i decided to use pins to fix the sticks. However, it did not work on the smaller sticks.

So, i tried to use the bigger sticks and made the pins to get through the sticks. Yeahh!! It worked!!

I put them in triangle shape in different sizes.

Played around with the angle and photographed it.

This is a stencil with the shape of stingray and the cellular pattern on it.
I was thinking to make a floor design with it but i tried to make it more interesting so i curved it and it turned up like this which let me think to make a building design with it.

After i made 4 stencils, i tried to arrange them to fit each other. I put 2 of them together which one is flat and one is curved. I was thinking since it was white and there were holes that light and air can get through, why not putting some light in it. So, it gave me an idea of putting it on a projector to experiment it with light. It turned up with a pretty pattern on the wall which looked like a butterfly.

It is made out of clay which each of them are connected by a wire to make it stays. The shape is skeleton shape.

I got the idea from one of the building of L'Oceanografic about the way to shape my maquette. The building is facing out in every direction and since we cannot see the roof top of the middle of the building so imagine that it is hollow and open-air. So, basically my maquette is about space. No space limitation in my structure for people and the design does not take up too much space of an area.

I was thinking to keep it in original colour but i felt it is boring, so i sprayed it into black colour which make it more interesting.

A skeletal bridge, which is made of clay. i shaped the clay on skeleton shape by hand.
After it dried, i spread a layer of PVA on it to protect it to crack.
When PVA dried, i painted it in white with acrylic. When it dried, i spread another layer of PVA on it again.
I stuck the skeletons on a wood.

My concept is exposing interior space to outside such as pipes which is normally hidden inside the building is exposed to outside, that let me think of blood vessel inside the body which is similar to pipe.
So, i took the idea from blood vessel to make a maquette. From the maquette, you can see that the small blood vessel is coming out from the big blood vessel and the small blood vessel seems like the floating blood coming out from the vein.

I quite like the effect of blood vessel on maquette, so i took the idea to a building design as a roof top.
